Brooke White
Brooke White was one of the most refreshing Idol talents to date. She reached fifth place on American Idol Season 7 due to her husky, unique voice and considerable instrument-playing talent.
She first caught our attention when she covered Carly Simon’s hit “You’re So Vain.” The next week, she gave a new treatment to the 1980s hit “Love Is A Battlefield.” She followed that up with “Let It Be” and, later in the season, “You Must Love Me.” Unfortunately, she is often remembered for the fact that she twice restarted songs when she forgot lyrics or had the wrong key, but she has also been praised for having the guts to do so.
She had varying degrees of success with her song choices and her on-stage demeanor, but love her or hate her, Brooke had people talking. Check out her version of “Love Is A Battlefield” below.
